Internal Medicine residents are required to meet with a librarian to review in-depth literature search strategies. You may use this opportunity to get started on research for your Oral Presentation, prepare for a journal club, clinical case, or explore any topic of interest. Session must be completed by February 1st of PGY1 Year.
1. Attend the Internal Medicine Library Orientation.
2. Choose a clinical scenario from your work or select an area of interest for your research. Try some searches in PubMed on this topic.
3. Once you've done some initial searching, schedule an appointment to meet with a librarian. Appointments usually last about 45 mins, and should be scheduled in advance by phone (x. 4-5697), email, or via the form on this subject guide.
