What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
It is a free service that is offered by the Cleveland Clinic Library that provides articles, books, and book chapters that are not owned or available at our library. Main Campus and Family Health Center caregivers with white badges and employee ID numbers are able to request materials. Regional caregivers can reach out to your region's librarian for ILL requests. Temporary employees and volunteers are NOT eligible.

ILLiad is our Interlibrary Loan system we use to manage requests to:
This account is separate from a library account, your library account allows you to log on to our databases and check out books from our physical library. If an article or book is unavailable at our library we may be able to get it from another institution using ILLiad.
We try our best to fulfill all requests, but there are circumstances in which we cannot always do so. If your request is canceled, you will receive an email explaining why.

OhioLINK is separate from ILL. If a book is not available in our catalog or within OhioLINK, we can check to see if we can order the item through ILL.
Please note that physical items ordered through ILL have strict due dates and must be picked up and returned to the main campus library.

If you're using PubMed, you should see this Get Article button. Libkey should automatically download the article or bring up the PDF if it is available.
If Libkey doesn't automatically download or bring up the PDF, it should show you a screen that says "Request this item from ILLiad"
