Citation Management: RefWorks Transition

RefWorks Transition FAQ

When does the library's subscription to RefWorks end?

  • It will end on June 30, 2018. After that date, you will not be able to access your RefWorks account.

Can I sign up and pay for an individual account with RefWorks?

  • No. RefWorks does not offer individual accounts at this time.

What should I do to continue working with my citations?

  • You can select a different citation management system and export your citations to that system. Learn more about the different systems available at our Citation Management guide, then use the appropriate instructions in the box on the left of this page to export your citations.

Will the library be replacing its RefWorks subscription with a different citation manager?

  • No; however, we will provide support for two free citation managers (Mendeley and Zotero), as well as EndNote.

Can the library provide me with a license for EndNote?

  • The library does not provide access to EndNote. You should check with your CCF Institute to see if they will provide one for you.

Deleting Your RefWorks Account

Once you have successfully migrated your citations to a new citation manager and are ready to delete your RefWorks account, please contact librarian Theresa Kline. This will remove you from our RefWorks mailing list.
