Internal Medicine residents are required to meet with a librarian to review in-depth literature search strategies. You may use this opportunity to get started on research for your Oral Presentation, prepare for a journal club, clinical case, or explore any topic of interest. We recommend completing this session in PGY1. Our goal is to save you time!
1. Attend the group instruction sessions
2. Choose a clinical scenario from your work or select an area of interest for your research. Try some searches in PubMed on this topic.
3. Once you've done some initial searching, schedule an appointment to meet with a librarian. Appointments usually last about 30 mins, and should be scheduled in advance by phone (x. 4-5697), email, or via the form on this subject guide.
